Caring for a child happens seven days a week at all times of the day. However, we tend to focus on choices for child care during work days, since work is the primary obstacle to simply staying home and playing with our child all day.
We’ve had three approaches to the work day so far. For the first 3 months, we were both home. For the next 2.5 months, M took David four days a week while L took David one day a week. Over the summer, David has a wonderful nanny four days a week. We’re starting to think about options for the fall, but a child keeps most of your focus on the now.
