M is in his home office. David and L come in, and we all talk and play and listen to music for a while. Then we start talking about going downstairs to make dinner, but David has other plans.
“Mama, sit down. Sit down here.”
“No, David, we have to make dinner.”
“Yes, sit! Sit down right here! Right. Here. Now.”
Insufficient cooperation from Mama leads to a rather emphatic:
“Sit down, Mama, right now! 1! 2! 3!”
We don’t know if he got past 3 because we were laughing too hard.
Yes, David gave Mama an ultimatum countdown. Because it was very important that David spin her around in the office chair until he was too dizzy himself to stand. David fell over, Mama eventually stopped feeling dizzy, and we all went downstairs to make pancakes for dinner.
