One month left before preschool starts, and the time is racing by. Soon David will be gone every weekday morning. He’s become increasingly eager for a change of scene and time with other people, so I expect he’ll be very happy when preschool starts.
At 2 years and 8 months old, David is 38 pounds and about 39 inches tall. He exceeded his car seat’s height limit for rear-facing this week, so we turned the seat around to face forward. It’s startling to be able to see him while we’re in the car.
No matter how tired he is at bedtime, David wants his day to keep going. One more trip to the park, one more book, one more game, one more anything. There is so much to tell us and so much to see. Tomorrow, we tell him, and we mean it, and yet we know that all the tomorrows there are will not be enough to hold his boundless energy.
