This site is about our personal path to parenthood through adoption. We successfully adopted a beautiful baby boy in December 2011 in Florida. The birthparents chose us in July 2011, after looking at profiles of various prospective adoptive families. We welcome conversation in person, by phone, or by email.

Going to the dogs
David has been collecting coins in his tzedakah (charity) box for months. He likes to take the coins out and put them back in, rattle them around, and admire his growing stash. The idea that the coins are intended to help others has finally taken hold, and we’ve been talking with him about some options for how his coins could help in the world. Today he made his decision — David’s first cash donation is to the greyhound rescue where our greyhound came from. We looked at photos of all the dogs they are helping right now, learned their names, and saw some of them on video. They have a variety of greyhounds and other hounds. And tonight they have an additional $20.15 to help them feed and care for these dogs, given willingly by a little boy who is proud to be helping.
