An apple a day

We’ve chosen a pediatrician at a pediatric practice that friends use and like. The doctors there all seem calm and sensible, and they are just a short drive from our house. That’s important, since there are a lot of visits in the first two years even if the child never gets sick: every couple of weeks, slowly dropping to every three months.

We’ve also taken an infant CPR class. I obviously hope we never have to use that knowledge, but it’s good to have practiced on mannequins. (Did you know the mannequin’s face is removable? This does not happen with real infants.)
